RMC boys win Petronas National Final 2007

Team Rapid Blaze from the Royal Military College bagged the coveted Formula One Technology Challenge overall champion held at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur.  They beat 29 other school teams from all over Malaysia.  The first runner-up is Aero Limiter Virtuoso from Sekolah Alam Shah followed by The Excaliburs from SMK Seksyen 9, Shah Alam as the second runner-up.  These top three teams will represent Malaysia in the F1 in Schools World Championship 2007/08.    

As for the other awards winners, Aero Limiter Virtuoso won the Fastest Car setting the pace at 1.157 seconds.  The Best Engineered Car award was won by Rapid Blaze while the Best Team Sponshorship and Marketing was awarded to Light Speed from SMK Batu Lintang, Kuching.  Aqua Shadow a RIMUP team from SMJK Ching Ling and SMKA (L) Al-Mashoor picked up the Outstanding Achievement award. 

This year's The Formula One Technology Challenge saw 439 entries nationwide.  Some 200 teams were then shortlisted for the regional levels which were divided into six zones including Northern, Central, Southern, East Coast, Sabah/ Sarawak/Labuan and the Students' Integration Plan for Unity (or its Malay acronym Rimup).
